Product Review- The honest kitchen

Tucker (left) Oakley (right)

Life with a picky dog means we try all different sorts of foods ALL of the time.

Oakley is the type of dog that will eat something new once and then refuse to eat the same thing for the next meal. I constantly have to switch up his food to prevent him from "getting bored". Some people will say that it's because I spoil him rotten, but when I adopted Oakley he was underweight and I have finally reached his ideal weight. He is the type of dog that will gladly go without eating and if I don't make him, he won't eat enough to keep himself at that weight. He's very active and burns calories easily. With that said, one of the products we've tried over the past fews months is the Revel chicken recipe by the honest kitchen.

All you do is add some water, wait a few minutes, then serve!

What I love about this food is how easy it is to prep! This food is basically a fresh homemade meal that has been dehydrated. It's a great option for people who want to give their dogs fresh food but simply don't have the time to get the ingredients and prep it!

This food will definitely be my go-to when on road trips since it's so easy to prepare and all you need is some water.

It's not too pricey and the dogs LOVE it. I use this food supplementally mixed with high-value kibble or fill kong toys up with it. I'd say the only "downfall" of this food would be that you would want to make sure your dog has ample opportunity to chew on items, since this food has a similar consistency to oatmeal. The honest kitchen has grain-free and different protein variations as well. We look forward to trying out the different varieties that they have.

We give this food a 4.5 out of 5.

Oakley will turn this away if it is offered to him back-to-back. He's a difficult one to please, but we definitely keep this as a staple in our house for Mr. Picky.
